Goals and Reflections
After reviewing how you spend
your time, you should have a clear image of where you need to make some changes.
You can start by creating a list of goals. Creating a simple to do list each day
or making a list for each important activity will automatically help keep you on
task.
Setting Goals
Make goals that are realistic or SMART

By looking at the objective of a goal, you should be able to step your way
backwards and evaluate the process necessary to accomplish the end result.
example
objective
goals
| choose a book | (set deadline) |
| read the book | (3-4 days) |
| outline thoughts | 1 day |
| rough draft | 1 day |
| edit | 1 day |
| peer revision | 1 day |
| final draft | 1 day |
Obviously the time table will need to be adjusted to accommodate the time before
the report is due.
Reflecting
- What is most of your time spent on?
- Was there any are of your time analysis that surprised you?
- Compare your time log pie chart to somebody else's. Comment on how
they compare.
