Application Deadlines
International students interested in applying for undergraduate admission must meet the following requirements and submit the required materials by the application deadline:
- 1 July - for students applying for the fall semester
- 15 October - for students applying for the spring semester

Students applying to the University who are not United States citizens must meet the following standards:

| Official Statement of Finances | International students must be self-supporting Download Official Financial Ability Form |
| Certification of Finances | Original bank statement indicating the amount of funds necessary to attend the University of South Dakota |
| Official TOEFL scores | Official scores for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) |
| Official Transcripts |
Official transcripts of all secondary and post-secondary school studies A transcript report from Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) must be received in addition to your official transcripts |
| Other | First-time undergraduates who are in the United States as exchange students, completing high school in the Unites States or are completing English as a Second Language (ESL) at another school, need to complete the transfer form to have their SEVIS record transferred to The University of South Dakota. |
