Population

Reduce rate of population growth

Government improvements

Debt reduction

Education/Social improvements

Less strain on finite world resources

If all of these changes can occur, then slowing Pakistan's population growth becomes viable. A stable, democratically controlled government, with increased fiscal resources due to debt forgiveness and a redirection of military funds can lift its people from poverty. These resources will be used to promote foreign investment, increase literacy (especially among women), and together with family planning and the help of NGOs reduce the growth rate of Pakistan. This, in turn will alleviate some of the pressure on the world's limited resources and delay the time it takes to reach maximum carrying capacity.
