Scotch Cream

This is a smooth and hearty drink guaranteed to warm you up on a cold
Northshield winter day. We served this at the lunch counter at our
Brewer's and Vintner's A&S event until we ran out of scotch. Then
someone (who doesn't normally drink scotch) bought some cheap scotch
and we couldn't get rid of it (until revel). Like all recipes, the
quality of the ingredients makes a big difference in the final taste.
And, by the way, Svaty does go to the effort to get a one-day liquor
license for Brewers & Vintners. The license not only lets us sell
period alcoholic drinks at the lunch counter, it's also the only legal
way attendees can sample the competition entries. The recipe is from
The Compleat Anachronist Vol 79, From The Kitchens of Castle Gillywick
- Willihilda the Kitchen Wench.

Ingredients:
          2 cups milk
        1/2 cup cream
        1/3 cup honey
          1 cup scotch whickey
            ground nutmeg to taste

Combine milk, cream and honey and warm until very hot but NOT boiling.
Stir in Scotch and sprinkle with nutmeg.
Makes four (more or less) servings.
