Summer's Vegetarian Chili

This recipe is a favorite at Sebastian's Strings. The heartiness
of the ingredients and the warmth of the chili powder ensures
there will be no leftovers. We often have cooked beef in a 
separate pot so omnivores can add meat. Our thanks to Summer
Brady for sharing this recipe.

Ingredients:
      1 cup chopped onion
    3/4 cup chopped green peppers
      1 pound tomatoes, cut up
      2 pounds kidney beans (or 1 lb beans + 1 lb sweet corn)
      1 8 oz can tomato sauce
      1 teaspoon salt
      2 vegetarian broth cubes
    1-3 teaspoons chili powder
      1 bay leaf

Cook onion and green peppers until tender.
Add remaining ingredients, and cook until done.
For meat version, add one pound of ground beef to onions and
green peppers. Drain off fat before adding other ingredients.
Broth cubes become optional.
