The College of Svatý Sebesta proudly presents,
Brewers' & Vintners' VII
Saturday, April 13, 2002
9 am - 10 pm
Washington St Arts Center - 202 Washington St  Vermillion SD

This is an annual event featuring workshops, demonstrations and
competitions honoring the Arts and Sciences of the Middle Ages.

The competitions are informal and everyone is encouraged to enter
regardless of how authentic or well documented their work is. Awards
for Adult and Youth (12 and under) A&s entries are given based on
judging and Peoples' Choice. Brewing and Vintning entries are judged
separately from A&S entries and do not include a People's Choice vote.

A tour guide will also be available for anyone wishing to visit
the local Shrine to Music Museum, the W. H. Over Museum of Natural History,
or the local winery.

Site will open at 9:00 a.m. The deadline for A&S entries is 11:00 a.m.
Classes will begin at 10:00 a.m. and run throughout the day. Guest
lecturers will be scheduled for the afternoon.

A large number of classes are being scheduled with the goal to represent
each of the six colleges of the Royal University of the MidRealm.

Fighters will be pleased to note that a number of classes designed for
armoured and rapier fighters are being planned, as well as classes on
battle tactics. Armoured Marshals in Training will be able to get a
signature on paperwork by attending Sgt. Hagan's paperwork class.

Of interest to many will be a panel discussion during the lunch break in
which panel members will recount the beginnings and history of SCA in
South Dakota.

The afternoon will end with a dance class designed to stir up the appetite
for the evening feast. By popular request, feast will be three removes
and a void and will feature the melt-in-your-mouth, home raised veal we
all gorged ourselves on last year.
