The Office of Nursing Research & Scholarship sponsors the Summer Writing Academy for Nursing (SWAN). The primary goal of the SWAN is to provide a collaborative and focused intensive writing and scholarship mentored experience and to aid in setting the foundation for future scholarship. During the academy, attendees will be expected to make significant progress on writing a manuscript or a proposal on a topic of their choosing, with the option to identify and work with a writing partner. Secondary goals are to provide guidelines on designing effective oral presentations, posters and abstracts that will later be developed into a manuscript.
