At USD, our highly experienced faculty prepare students to join the rapidly growing medical device and pharmaceutical products industry in South Dakota. Through internships at local corporations and post-graduate job placement, our students make a positive difference in the workforce. Many go on to pursue careers in the biotech and medtech industries, conduct medical research, or seek professional education in medicine, physical therapy, pharmacy and law.
Our students can earn a bachelor of science (B.S.), master of science (M.S.), and doctor of philosophy (Ph.D.) through the department. We also offer an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in integrated science and certificates in laboratory science and regulatory affairs.
