Now that you've been admitted and decided that the University of South Dakota is the place for you, there are a few more steps to complete in order to confirm your enrollment at USD:
Your $100 housing deposit makes your admission official. Your deposit reserves your spot in the incoming class, provides you with your on-campus housing options and confirms any scholarship offers you receive from USD.
Should you decide not to attend the University of South Dakota after submitting your $100 housing deposit, you will have until May 1 (Dec. 1 for students entering the spring semester) to submit a written request to receive a 50% refund of your original deposit. After May 1 (Dec. 1 for spring students), deposits will not be refunded if you choose to withdraw your application from the University.
Pick up your USD E-Mail AccountAfter you submit your housing deposit, beginning January 23, 2017 you will be able to access your USD e-mail account. Once you receive your account, you will have access to the myUSD portal where you can select your registration option. Please check your USD e-mail regularly for important updates as well as registration information.
Set up your WebAdvisor AccountWebAdvisor is the online tool providing you with access to registration, SDePay (tuition payment and notifications), course listing and other facets of your academic career at USD. You will also need to confirm your attendance at USD using your WebAdvisor Account. Check our this brief video to walk you through the process.
All new, readmitted and transferred students are required to provide medically signed proof of TWO properly administered MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunizations OR immune titers for Measles (Rubeola), Rubella and Mumps. The immunization form must be completed before you can register for classes at USD. Read more about the mandatory immunization form.
Information on your options for Registration will be sent to you via your new USD e-mail. You'll have the option of choosing from traditional one-day Fast Track sessions or - for some students - Virtual Advising. During Fast Track, you'll receive a warm welcome to USD as you meet with your advisors, register for classes and learn all about the campus and the many resources available to you.
After you register for classes, your bill will be available online at your SDePay account
You will NOT receive a paper copy of your bill.
You will be required to take the placement exam if you meet either of the following criteria. You must take the exam before you can register for classes.

File your FAFSA
File your FAFSA by USD's priority deadline of April 1. List USD's code of 003474 on your FAFSA.
Receive your roommate and residence hall assignment beginning June 2017.
