Honored for Excellence
The U has recognized us for extraordinary academics with their Award for Academic Excellence and Innovation. So has the National Science Foundation, by awarding us with grant funding for the Northern Plains Undergraduate Research Center, one of only three in the nation. We're small enough to focus on the needs of individual students, but large enough to provide the resources for a rich and varied educational environment.
Our Advantages
- We are one of only four of Governor Rounds' 2010 Research Centers.
- Our students have received Goldwater, Truman and National Science Foundation scholarships.
- Our degrees are approved by the American Chemical Society.
- The importance of research is emphasized at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, involving all faculty members working closely with students.
- Scholarship opportunities are plentiful.
- Our grads go on to successful graduate programs and a wide variety of careers.
All of this, with our low faculty-to-student ratio, makes The U the ideal place to study chemistry!
