  • Allie Holland

    Summer REU

    Allie Holland spent six weeks in Pittsburgh, PA with the Summer Institute for Training in Biostatistics (SIBS). As a final project, Allie worked with data from the Center for Oral Health Research in Appalachia (COHRA) study. Specifically, they worked on psychosocial variables and dental caries.

  • The Math Department annually hosts the Merten Hasse Math Competition for area junior high and high school students. Schools earn points for each student who places in the top eight of the division exams.

  • Join the¬†national mathematics honor society

After Graduation

Mathematics and math-related careers are consistently rated among the top five best careers. Actuaries and statisticians are in demand in business, government and industry.
