The South Dakota World Languages Association selects one teacher among the nominated candidates to honor for their efforts in language teaching. This award is open to all teachers of a second language in South Dakota.

The winner will be announced during the annual conference.

You are invited, but not required, to consider one or more of the following questions: 1. Why should this nominee be considered for the award? 2. What does this individual do to promote world language education? 3. What sets this individual apart from other language instructors? 4. In what ways does this individual demonstrate excellence in world language instructions? 5. How does this individual serve as a mentor for other world language instructors?

A list of past winners is available on the SDWLA website.
