Discovering Human Behavior

Human factors involves the discovery of information regarding human behavior, abilities and limitations and applies these characteristics to the design of systems, tasks, machines, tools and environments to enhance efficiency, safety and productivity in their use.

Our Human Factors Program offers graduate training leading to a Ph.D. degree. Students will be able to explore individual interests within the broad area of human factors psychology. The program is designed to provide a strong theoretical base that can be readily applied to various working environments, and to prepare students for careers in business, industry and government.
