The Scientific Study of Social Life
It's hard enough for most of us to understand the behavior of one human being; imagine trying to understand why a room, neighborhood or city full of people behave the way they do. That's the job of the sociologist - to explore human behavior, societies and social change.
Sociology is excellent preparation for graduate studies in almost any discipline. Our grads are also well-prepared for work in education, government, social services, public relations and many other fields.
We offer a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts in sociology. Our courses also form a major component of the Criminal Justice major.
Our Faculty Members are dedicated to scholarship and teaching excellence. Class sizes are small, ensuring you access to faculty and individual attention.
