The women, gender and sexuality studies program is an 18-hour interdisciplinary minor. The minor may accompany many majors at the University of South Dakota. It may accompany any major in the College of Arts & Sciences and can be earned as part of a B.A. or B.S. degree. Students must take 3 hours of WMST 247: Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies Introduction and an additional 15 credit hours of approved electives.
A group that aims to provide education and a social outlet for the LGBTIQQA community and their allies on the USD campus and in the Vermillion community.
We invite individuals across disciplines to present research on politics of gender and the rights and representation of marginalized groups.
AAWR was created for people of all genders to come together to address gender equality and inequality.
Our minor will benefit students whose career goals demand high levels of analytical and critical thought, as well as skills in interpersonal relations.
