The Business Research Bureau (BRB) serves the state of South Dakota, the University, and the business community in diverse ways. Our divisions serve different purposes but collectively work to advance the ongoing development of our state.

BRB Publications

The South Dakota State Data Center (SDSDC) is the designated lead census center for South Dakota and a repository of U.S. Census Bureau and U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis publications and data bases.

Research Services is a full service research organization employing a wide array of experienced technicians, practitioners, and academics. State of the art computer and telecommunications capability allow Research Services consultants to work with you in South Dakota or throughout the nation.

The Business Research Bureau produces the quarterly journal: The South Dakota Business Review. Issues from 1994 to the present are available for viewing.

The South Dakota Family Business Association was founded in 1993 with the express mission of enhancing the long-term survival and success of its family business members.

Beacom Faculty Research

KIDS COUNT: South Dakota KIDS COUNT is part of a network of projects funded by the Annie E. Casey Foundation. A major goal of the Initiative is to foster a nationwide commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable children and their families.

ACCRA COST OF LIVING INDEX
The BRB is offering on a trial basis a new web-based cost of living calculator. The trial version is limited to comparisons between Vermillion, SD and other cities. Users can enter their after-tax income and "calculate" how much they would need to make in another city to maintain their current standard of living.

South Dakota State Data Center Publications

The Crash Outcome Data Evaluation System (CODES): The National Highway traffic Safety Administration provides funds  to link statewide crash and injury data.

CD and DVD Duplication Services:
CD and DVD duplication services of data and audio CDs or DVDs with print text/graphics on the face of the disc.

KIDS COUNT Publications

The South Dakota PTAC provides assistance to South Dakota businesses who wish to contract with local, state and federal government agencies.
