What is FMA?
As a chapter we are dedicated to opening many doors to the financial world for our students. We travel to places such as Chicago and New York every year to enjoy hands-on experience in the area of finance. In traveling, we get to ask professionals what they look for in new employees and where to look for good opportunities in a financial institution. Also, by bringing speakers to campus, we introduce various financial careers and understanding of financial operations in corporate America to students. In addition, our chapter has been awarded the Superior Chapter rating each of the past FIVE years! Less than 10% of student FMA chapters receive this prestigious designation each year.

How Do You Join FMA?
- Go to orientation meetings at the beginning of each semester.
- Get recruitment information from the FMA bulletin board in Patterson Hall.
- Fill out a membership application and turn into Dr. Lavin with payment.
- Contact the FMA president, Seth Schonewill, for more details at Seth.Schonewill@usd.edu.
