I would like to extend a warm welcome to all students. The beginning of a new academic year is an exciting time in higher education. For the new students, you and I are collectively starting our USD journey. We will learn and grow together with the assistance of the talented upper classmen, faculty and staff. I have been warmly welcomed to the university community and know you will have the same experience. Student Services

Involvement in Student Services is essential in making USD's campus life a valuable experience. You are invited to join the more than 100 student organizations, clubs and intramural sports, and countless social and educational programs throughout the year. Engagement in your college experience is important to your student success.
 

	USD Student Handbook This is your official University of South Dakota Student Handbook.
	USD Barnes & Noble Bookstore Find everything from books to apparel to computer peripherals. The USD Bookstore has everything you need to stay focused and succeed.
	Campus Dining When it comes to great food, you'll be glad to know that Campus Dining offers many convenient dining options. We have buffets, food court-like settings, and convenient express options at locations around campus.
	Event Planning & Scheduling We provide support for event planning and space scheduling for both on-campus and non-University events. USD has many venues from small office settings to a large ballroom that can seat hundreds of guests.
	International Student Services Office (ISSO) If your home country is outside of the United States, this is the place to get all the information to make your time as enjoyable as possible while you're here.
	Leadership Development Leadership at USD follows the Social Change Model allowing our students to gain a better understanding of leadership development, leadership recognition and leadership opportunities.
	Muenster University Center (MUC) The MUC is the heart of the university. It is a place to study, play, dine and socialize with friends. A 30,000 sq. ft. addition to the building is underway and should be completed by early 2014.
	Native Student Services Native Student Services provides vibrant and proactive year long student support services with culturally relevant and effective retention programming.
	Sorority & Fraternity Life USD has four sororities and nine fraternities. Each chapter offers an outstanding opportunity to connect you to other students and the institution as well as an amazing experience of sisterhood and brotherhood.
	Student Counseling Center College can be challenging, filled with stress, anxiety, and deadlines. Because of this the Student Counseling Center is here to provide assistance to students as they progress through their college career.
	Student Government Association (SGA) The SGA works as the liaison between the students, administration, faculty and the South Dakota Board of Regents. The SGA strives to develop and promote the best interests of student and the entire university community.
	Student Health Services Sanford Vermillion Medical Center is the provider of health services to the university. Sanford Health is committed to healthcare excellence at an affordable cost to students and work to improve the human condition through patient care, education and research.
	Student Rights & Responsibilities (SRR) All members of the university community are held to common standards for behavior outlined by the South Dakota Board of Regents. The SRR aids in developing citizen capacity through education and accountability.
	University Housing USD has many housing options and our residence halls are a great place to make your home away from home.
	Wellness Center Physical well-being is one of the first steps you can take to succeeding at the university. The Wellness Center offers everything you need to achieve any fitness or weight loss goal you set your mind to.
