The Department of Contemporary Media and Journalism offers two undergraduate degrees, a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science with a major in Contemporary Media and Journalism.

 

THE CONTEMPORARY MEDIA AND JOURNALISM DEPARTMENT
ANNOUNCES THAT THE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS
FOR THE 2008/2009 ACADEMIC YEAR
NOW AVAILABLE

The CMJ Department is now accepting applications for the 2008/2009 Academic Year to be awarded for Fall Semester 2008.  Please visit the Scholarship Link below for complete descriptions of the scholarships available, the individual scholarship criteria and the Scholarship Application.

Deadline for Application Submission is 12:00 Noon on Friday, March 14, 2008!


Four Specialization Areas are available for study
under BA/BS degree program, advertising, electronic media, journalism, and public relations.

Students can augment their classroom activities with participation in several department media outlets such as the campus radio station, cable television station, the Volante, and a student advertising/public relations agency. The department provides opportunities for students' professional development through organizations such as the student chapters of the American Advertising Federation, and Public Relations Student Society of America.

The Department of Contemporary Media and Journalism is accredited by the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (ACEJMC).
