Partner with Us

Do you want to share your expertise with other educators or work with our research center to investigate school data in order to drive instruction and best practices? USD's School of Education wants to partner with you!

Below are examples of ways we have partnered with districts.

Research a topic:

  • The School of Education Research Center engages in and utilizes innovative research and scholarly activities to contribute to knowledge about, and to enhance, the education, health and wellness of individuals and communities. The Research Center serves this mission through faculty research and partnerships with schools, organizations, government agencies and others. One critical component of the center is that it seeks to integrate research into teaching and practice in a dynamic system in which research both informs and is driven by practical applications. Contact Dr. Amy Schweinle at for more information.

Mentor a Teacher Candidate:

  • Share your expertise by working with a teacher candidate for a semester or a year. There are elementary, secondary, special education and K-12 candidates who want to learn from exemplary educators. Continuing Education Unit (CEU) or $40 externally funded graduate credit may be available. Contact Chelle Kirkpatrick at for more information.

Coordinate an externally funded graduate credit for professional development, book studies or training in the district.
