OCEANOGRAPHY 401/501
Professor Timothy H. Heaton

This is a broad introductory course on oceanography and covers the historical, geological, chemical, meteorological, and biological aspects of the earth's oceans. There are no course prerequisites, but any background in the physical and biological sciences is helpful.

The course follows the textbook quite closely, though there are several supplementary handouts (see below). Unfortunately there are no class field trips. :-) This course is taught in the Spring semester of odd-numbered years.
