We offer comprehensive study in aesthetics as well as scholarly, historical and technical studio instruction. Your first two years of study balance art and general education classes; junior and senior year classes then shift to your specialization area as well as portfolio development. The unique programs and outstanding faculty help you develop your craft while earning a professional degree.

With a 17:1 student-to-teacher ratio, our department acts as more of a close-knit family than just faculty and staff members.
- Our faculty members are as committed to their craft as they are to their students. They continually produce and show their work nationally and internationally, and have won national teaching and art awards for their distinguished excellence.
- From 1978-2016, the art department offered the only NASAD-accredited program in the state; now we are one of two.
