Cameron Stalheim

Sculpture '10

Cameron Stalheim began his career at USD as a theatre major. When he took a sculpture class from associate professor Chris Meyer '00, a new focus began to take shape. Stalheim made the move to sculpture and his passion for three dimensions grew. He received multiple awards at the 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 Wilbur Stilwell Annual Juried Exhibition.

In 2011 Stalheim's design was chosen among international artists for a national call for sculptors and Legacy was born. "In many ways, what I was able to accomplish I did for the faculty of the fine arts program, because they gave me the skills to display. I thank them for helping to better me. That's the reason it's titled 'Legacy.' It feels like it was meant to be."
