Before starting the application process, make sure you meet the Associate of Science in nursing admission criteria.

The following must be completed in order to be considered for admission:

Step 1: Apply to USD

Student must be admitted to USD prior to the nursing application deadline. Official transcripts are required. To ensure a timely review of the admission materials, it is recommended you apply by Jan. 15 for fall semester admission.

Step 2: Complete Pre-Admission Testing

Applicants must complete the Health Education Systems Incorporated Admission Assessment Exam (HESI) prior to the application deadline.

Step 3: Apply to the Nursing Program

Fall admission deadline: Feb. 1, 2018

Late applications will be accepted on a space-available basis until June 1 for fall admissions. Contact your nursing advisor for more information.

Applications for the fall 2018 cohort will accepted beginning September 1, 2017.

There is no fee to submit the USD nursing application. However, if you are admitted to the A.S. program and accept the conditional offer of admission, you will be required to complete additional requirements and will be responsible for all expenses incurred.
