Before starting the application process, make sure you meet the RN-B.S.N. admission criteria.

The following must be completed in order to be considered for admission to the nursing program.

Step 1: Admission to USD

Student must be admitted to USD prior to the nursing application deadline. To apply, complete the online application or call 1-877-233-7937. Official transcripts will be required.

Step 2: Application to the Nursing Program

Admission deadline: July 15 for fall admission and Dec. 15 for spring admission.

The following items must be completed and received on or before midnight on the due date in order to be given full consideration: 

Application

Students enrolled in a RN-BSN nursing program other than USD are eligible for selection into the USD nursing program as long as they have left the previous program in good standing. Students must provide a letter from the previous nursing chairperson, director or designee.

General Education Courses

Download and complete the general education course spreadsheet. Save and email this document to nursingapplications@usd.edu.

There is no fee to submit the USD nursing application. However, if you are admitted to the RN-B.S.N. program and accept the conditional offer of admission, you will be required to complete additional requirements and will be responsible for all expenses incurred.
