Clinical Education

As a physical therapy student, you'll participate in five full-time clinical education experiences that will enable you to practice in rural and medically under-served areas. Our students have completed their internships in more than 20 states and even internationally.

You'll work with patients, from infants to the elderly, in settings such as:

  • Hospitals and clinics
  • Nursing homes and home health
  • Sports settings
  • Free-standing rehabilitation facilities
  • Outpatient clinics and private practices
  • Schools
  • Specialty settings, such as sports medicine, performing arts/dance, wound care, manual therapy, women's health and clinic management/administration

These clinical education experiences will start during your second year with a six-week, full-time internship, followed by four eight-week rotations during the fall and spring semesters of your third year.
