The physical therapy program has outstanding student outcomes. We have 100 percent job placement and board scores that exceed the national average.
To develop scholars, practitioners and life-long learners who provide evidence based physical therapist services throughout the patient lifespan and demonstrate leadership within rural and medically underserved practice environments.
To be recognized leaders in physical therapist education who use interactive instruction, develop interprofessional leaders and promote optimal movement to improve the human experience.
Our faculty members are committed to student success. We have a high faculty-to-student ratio, which means you will receive the attention you need. We also stress real-world settings for students to learn the necessary skills, including opportunities for international trips to deliver physical therapy services around the globe. Our faculty members stay current with the latest professional standards and evidence through research and professional memberships. They serve as real-world consultants and practitioners and have built relationships with health care providers around the region.
Our department calls the new state-of-the-art Lee Medical Building home. The $37 million facility has the latest technology and equipment in its classrooms and laboratories. The design of the building facilitates team teaching, and we take advantage of that to interact with students in other health sciences programs, as well as students in the medical school.
