Conditional Undergraduate Admission

If previous academic performance meets USD undergraduate admissions standards, students who successfully complete USD's IEP Level 3 will have satisfied USD's English proficiency requirement and can transition to a degree-seeking program. Applicants who desire conditional admission must adhere to all regular admission requirements and procedures, except for English proficiency requirements. Students will receive a letter of conditional admission and an IEP admission letter.

The initial I-20 will indicate admission to the Intensive English Program. A new degree-seeking I-20 will be issued upon successful fulfillment of USD’s English proficiency requirement. You will be required to submit financial documents showing that you have the finances to cover two full semesters of the IEP. However, you will only pay for the semesters you attend.
