Welcome to The University of South Dakota Loan Department.

The Loan Department Office disburses financial aid checks, which includes Federal Stafford Loans, Wells Fargo Collegiate Loans, Citi-Assist Loans, Goal Loans, etc. We mail the Parent Loan for Undergraduate Student (PLUS) checks to the parents.

This office is responsible for the billing and collection of Perkins (formerly National Direct Student Loan or NDSL) and Nursing Loans received while attending the University of South Dakota. We are responsible for obtaining signatures on promissory notes, conducting exit interviews and collecting for these loans. We have contracted University Accounting Service (UAS) to do our billing statements and to process payments, deferments and cancellations. Our office does not do the billing, collection or deferments for the Stafford loan program.
