Project EXPORT

Sanford Research/USD will partner with the Aberdeen Area Tribal Chairmen's Health Board, the Montana-Wyoming Tribal Leaders Council and Sinte Gleska University  on Centers of Excellence in Partnerships for Community Outreach, Research on Health Disparities and Training (Project EXPORT - Establishing Exploratory Centers).

This partnership will be referred to as Project EXPORT and through this project the partners will:

  • Advance the science directed towards impacting health disparities through a variety of research endeavors.
  • Increase the number of researchers and professionals from health disparity populations trained in biomedical and behavioral research through the creation of a mentoring program.
  • Increase the dissemination and utilization of scientific and health information relevant to health diversity populations

Project EXPORT is funded through grant number P20MD1631 from the National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities, a center of the National Institutes of Health.
