We offer diversity fellowships supported by the National Training Initiative that are designed to:

  • Improve the recruitment and employment of underrepresented groups, including people with disabilities
  • Increase the diversity of and build cultural competence in leadership, staff and governing bodies across the Developmental Disabilities Network
  • Increase the number of people from underrepresented groups and disadvantaged backgrounds

This effort uses a culturally responsive training approach that involves the recruitment and retention of fellows from Native American tribal communities, including at least one fellow recruited from both Sinte Gleska University and Sitting Bull College.
