More than 300 academic and clinical faculty members in family medicine teach medical students and residents in Rapid City, Sioux Falls, Yankton, and F.A.R.M. Program communities.
Our faculty members provide leadership in family medicine in a number of ways:
Our faculty members are committed to furthering scholarship in family medicine. They wrote the book, or at least a book chapter, on everything from ambulatory care to health prevention to tropical medicine. We also regularly make presentations at national conferences.
Our academic and clinical faculty members not only provide a high quality education for medical students and residents, we also act as role models to promote family medicine. We hold various activities to answer questions about family medicine, and we are always available to provide career counseling to interested students.
