Day Gallery at USD features '8 Year Plan' photography exhibit

VERMILLION, S.D. -- The University of South Dakota’s John A. Day Gallery will host a reception for art student Joshua Sean and his photography exhibition, “8 Year Plan” on Friday, May 28 at 7 p.m. “8 Year Plan is a photographic compilation of Sean’s work and the reception for the artist includes a demo release party for his “Dakota Spirit Diminished” album, an industrial-hip hop mix.

Over the last eight years, Sean has documented downtown Vermillion and rural areas.  He has captured dreamlike landscapes and characters, and has encapsulated astrological characteristics through his “Empyrean Earth” series.

The exhibition is on display at the Day Gallery, which is located at the Warren M. Lee Center for the Fine Arts at USD, through Friday, June 4. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, please contact gallery director Eddie Welch at (605) 677-3177.
