Philosophy, the love of wisdom, investigates some of the most pressing issues in our lives.  Philosophy is essentially reflective, beginning with our deepest opinions, and then pushing beyond those opinions to find the foundations of our beliefs.  This search for wisdom not only provides justifications for our most central beliefs, but in examining those beliefs, can also fundamentally alter the meaning and essence of our lives.  Some of the traditional questions of philosophy are:

What should I do?
Who, or what, am I?
What can I know, and how?

The unexamined life is not worth living. – Socrates
