Welcome to Political Science.  The U is home to the state's oldest, largest and most nationally prominent Political Science program.

With a degree in Political Science, the next brilliant presidential campaign might just be yours! A degree in Political Science prepares students for careers in politics and government, law, mass media and other public / administrative professions. Most importantly, it prepares students to be active, responsive citizens and leaders.

Many Political Science students go on to graduate study in law or public administration. With their understanding of civic leadership, it is also not surprising to find Political Science grads at work in high-profile positions-as news anchors, senators, congressional delegates and CEOs.

The department offers the BA and BS in Political Science, a double major with Criminal Justice, the MA degree in Political Science, and the nationally accredited Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree.

The faculty is renowned for its close mentoring of students and offers strong academic expertise and practical experience.

Political Science is a department within the College of Arts and Sciences.
