USD International Studies Lecture Series welcomes human rights expert Rafia Zakaria
The International Studies Program at the University of South Dakota will host human rights expert Rafia Zakaria as its first speaker for its annual lecture series. Zakaria will discuss human rights concerns associated with drone warfare, including civilian casualties caused by drone strikes. The lecture is 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 24 at Farber Hall. Admission to the lecture is free and is open to the public.

USD to host 49th annual Student History Conference is April 24
Graduate and undergraduate students from several regional universities and colleges will present papers at the University of South Dakota’s 49th annual Student History Conference on Thursday 24 April. Professor Michael Hoff, Hixon-Lied Professor of Art History at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will deliver the plenary address at 11:30 a.m., “Pirates and Romans: Ancient Cities and Rough Cilicia.”
