family student housing
If you're coming to the U with a spouse or a child, you already know money is tight. Balancing school and your family responsibilities may be even more difficult. We're here to help where we can. The U has 40 one-bedroom efficiency apartments available for married students or students with dependent children. Family Student Housing is on campus and is a 5 minute walk from nearly every academic building.
Family Student Housing consists of a 40-apartment court: Cypress is located at 434 N. Pine St.
The court has a laundry room, fenced in yard, and some playground equipment.
The apartments are unfurnished with no carpeting. Residents may bring a window air conditioning unit (110 volt only).
Semester rent is billed to your student account. You may be eligible to apply for rental assistance from the Vermillion Housing Authority to help defray rental costs.
The court is available to students twelve months a year.
You will be surrounded by many others who also have families - making it less likely that you'll be living below the local rock and roll band.
Residents in the past have even created shared babysitting pools to cut down on daycare expenses.
