Spanish (B.A.)

36 Major Hours, 120 Degree Hours

Students in this major must also complete requirements for a degree in the College of Arts & Sciences .

Departmental Requirements (24 hours)

Complete all of the following courses (15 hours)

• SPAN 201 - Intermediate Spanish I (C) [SGR #4, HSDC]
• SPAN 202 - Intermediate Spanish II (C) [SGR #4, HSDC]
• SPAN 320 - Intensive Spanish Grammar Review
• SPAN 330 - Reading and Writing for Communication (C)
• SPAN 411 - Advanced Oral Practice I in Spanish

Elective Requirements (12 hours)

• Electives from any SPAN at the 300 or 400 level (SPAN 494 and SPAN 496 are limited to 3 credit hours each)
• MFL 420 - K-12 Foreign Language Methods (C)  3cr

Students must have a CGPA of 2.7 to co-register for EDFN 338  and SEED 296  and to be admitted to Teacher Education.
