Welcome to the Division of Accounting and Finance

Whether it's a large corporation, a government entity or a small business, every organization needs skilled people to understand and make decisions about its finances, rules and regulations and internal policies. 

At USD, our faculty are skilled practitioners with years of experience in both accounting and finance, combined with strong connections throughout the industry. As an accounting or finance student, you'll have the opportunity to intern with a variety of regional and national companies that will provide invaluable experience as you prepare to enter the workforce after graduation. You'll have a wide range of professional opportunities, and you may find yourself working as an accountant for one of the Big Four firms, as an investment banker at a large financial institution, a tax auditor for the U.S. government, or join a local business as a member of their accounting and finance team.

Engaging the Business Community

Every undergraduate program at the Beacom School of Business welcomes an advisory council of leaders in their respective industries. The council advises faculty and students on industry trends, consults on curriculum changes and connects students to through student organization engagement and career opportunities.
