Continuing Education and Training

The Center for Disabilities provides a wide range of programming which offers training and technical assistance to people with developmental disabilities, their families, healthcare, education, mental health, and other professionals who support them, as well as policy-makers, state agency personnel, and other stakeholders. These efforts are in collaboration with numerous stakeholder organizations and agencies to ensure these programs are inclusive of all, representative of the diversity of the state, and accessible for everyone, especially those from underserved rural, frontier, and reservation communities. Distance technology, virtual meetings, and the principles of universal design are utilized in the development of all activities. People with developmental disabilities and their families are central to the development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all programming.
