2026 South Dakota Legislative Session
South Dakota’s 101st legislative session runs from Jan. 13 – March 12, 2026, with veto day on March 30. Various topics and bills that emerge during the legislative session may be of interest to our university community; proposed legislation may relate to higher education, and individuals may be interested in following updates in their individual capacity as civically engaged citizens.
The university has prepared the following resources, which cover policies related to political activity for BOR employees, ways to track proposed legislation, and other information related to the legislative session.
