USD 58th Annual History Conference Rescheduled for March 20
Students from several regional universities and colleges will present papers at the 58th Annual Student History Conference at the University of South Dakota. The conference, originally scheduled for Feb. 23, is postponed and will be held on March 20 in the Muenster University Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The day-long conference will feature papers in local, United States, European and world history written by undergraduate and graduate students.
Elise Boxer, Ph.D., associate professor of history and director of the Institute of American Indian Studies, will present the plenary lecture, “The Lands thus Unknown, Unowned or Unoccupied: The Mormon Settler Colonial Present," at 1 p.m.
The conference is sponsored by the USD Department of History and the Zeta Mu Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the national history honor society.
