The opening reception is April 28 from 5-7 p.m.

Schroeder, hailing from Bellevue, Nebraska, is an art education major with a printmaking emphasis. Her work includes imagery of pinecones in many shapes, sizes and varieties, highlighting their importance and meaning. She uses relief printing techniques for her imagery along with many elements of mixed media and collage. She is creating new work that uses mixed media techniques to layer colors, shapes and textures.

After graduation, Schroeder plants to move back to her hometown and begin her career teaching art in a K-6 setting as well as continue a personal practice.

The exhibition is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
