USD Graphic Design Student Selected as Top 100 Intern
Over the summer, Le Nguyen worked as a graphic design intern at Anderson Brothers Printing Press in Sioux City, Iowa. Her duties included prepping files for print in prepress, designing and directing mail and social media campaigns, assisting in digital print areas, designing new stationing and more.
The 2022 Top 100 Interns list was determined by an expert panel and thousands of public votes. The expert panel reviewed the interns’ impact, work ethic, project contributions, professional development and future career plans.
“This is a great opportunity for other companies around the U.S. to see that I am being showcased for my hard work as an intern," Le Nguyen said.
Le Nguyen said her time at USD prepared her for the internship by introducing her to crucial skills and graphic design software.
“During my time at USD, I have been able to familiarize myself with the Adobe software,” Le Nguyen said. “This not only helped me with my internship but it has allowed me to design commissioned work for my clients.”
Aside from her internship, Le Nguyen does freelance work focusing on logo design and brand identity. After she graduates, Le Nguyen plans to take some time off to travel and then return to school to get her master’s in business administration in hopes of working for a large social media agency and eventually creating her own business.
