USD’s Bass Named to National Social Work Education Board
The work of the BOA fulfills the critically important function of maintaining and advocating for quality in social work education through its accreditation/candidacy process of more than 900 social work programs in the United States. In addition, the BOA acts as the policy body for developing and interpreting accreditation standards and assuring that policies and procedures are fairly and consistently applied to all social work programs.
Bass was selected to the board in recognition of his expertise, dedication and significant contributions to the field of social work.
In his new, three-year term, Bass will help ensure the future of social work education and highest standards are upheld. He will contribute to the advancement of social work education and make a difference in the lives of countless future social workers.
“I hope to contribute to accreditation processes that uphold excellence, foster innovation and ensure social work education remains responsive to the evolving needs of students, communities and the profession,” said Bass.
