Dr. Dakotah Carda, a USD Au.D. graduate and faculty member, specializes in pediatrics and cochlear implants, using evidence-based care so every patient feels heard and has the sound to thrive.

I teach our implantable device courses along with pediatric coursework, including outcomes for children with hearing loss, educational audiology, and pediatric assessment. I work to give students knowledge that is accurate, current, and useful in the clinic, so they graduate as competent audiologists who love what they do.

Most of my research looks at practical, clinically applicable practices in pediatric audiology and cochlear implants. I'm especially interested in questions that come straight out of the clinic, where the answers can be put to use right away to improve care for patients and their families.
