My teaching interests center on addiction studies, prevention, peer support, and community-based care. I am passionate about preparing students with both evidence-based knowledge and real-world application, integrating experiential learning, advocacy, and innovation into the classroom. My goal is to empower future professionals to navigate complex systems with compassion, resilience, and leadership.
My research interests focus on addiction, recovery, and innovative approaches to healing. I study the impact of peer support, prevention, and community-based interventions such as street medicine and value-based care models. I am also exploring nontraditional healing modalities, including e-stim technologies and tattooing as a form of recovery, and their role in addressing trauma and resilience. Central to my work is the integration of lived experience with evidence-based practice to improve outcomes, reduce stigma, and expand equitable access to care.
