I am a master’s prepared nurse with exceptional experience in both the clinical and education settings. I have 12 years of experience in nursing education and 14 years of clinical nursing experience. I have a passion for educating nurses as shown by my own education and my many years of educating, orienting, and mentoring new nurses. My current roles of USD Nursing Sioux Falls Site Director and Clinical Experiences Director show my commitment to ensuring students have quality clinical learning experiences in the classroom, lab, simulation, and patient care settings by securing quality experiences, facilitated by expert nurse educators.

My primary teaching interest is the family and maternal/child health content in the BSN program. Specifically I enjoy working with students in both the classroom setting and in simulation.
I also have interest in mentoring and developing nursing faculty. Faculty are a vital resource in educating future nurses.
