Dr. Ommen earned his doctorate degree from the University of South Dakota. Clinical experience with adults in multiple settings including outpatient, inpatient, and long term care. He specializes in hand/upper extremity rehabilitation.

Teaching interests including upper extremity rehabilitation, physical conditions, pathophysiology, biomechanics, and orthosis fabrication.

My scholarship interests include occupation based hand/upper extremity rehabilitation. I am particularly interested in investigating targeted, evidence-informed interventions to optimize functional recovery and improve patient outcomes following upper extremity injury or pathology.
