Unite for USD is a virtual day of giving coupled with events and activities designed to unite USD alumni and friends in support of the university. Donors supported more than 40 different initiatives this year.

“Unite for USD Is a reminder that progress happens when we step forward together,” said Noah Shepard, president and CEO of the USD Foundation and Alumni Association. “When our community chooses to engage, invest and lead, we create lasting impact for students across campus and for the future of the university.”

More than $167,000 was raised for the Coyote Beginnings Fund, which empowers students to realize their educational dreams. The Ellis Impact was introduced in 2025 to inspire support for the university's greatest need—scholarship assistance.

The event also highlights the many ways donors can support USD, from academics to athletics and student services. One such initiative, Charlie’s Cupboard, raised more than $15,000 from 85 donors, helping to eradicate food insecurity on campus by providing USD students with access to food and personal care products.

Other highlights from giving day include:

  • More than 600 donors gave to Coyote Athletics
  • U4U ambassadors raised over $23,000
  • Nearly 30% of donors were faculty and staff
